Is a knocking noise over bumps dangerous?
It depends what is making it. A worn bush is a nuisance; a failing ball joint is a safety issue. They sound similar from the driver's seat, which is why it is worth checking.
Can suspension be repaired at my location?
Shocks, bushes, ball joints and arms are regularly done on site. Spring and strut work that needs a press is done at the garage.
My tyres wear out on one edge. Is that the suspension?
Often, yes — worn components change the wheel's angle. An alignment alone will not hold if the part causing it is still worn.
